Katherine Wood was born in Northern Utah. She began writing in Elementary School despite being diagnosed with Dyslexia. In the second grade she was voted by the class as the Best Storyteller, and she has wanted to be an author ever since.
She currently lives in Saint George, Utah with her family and her dog Gidget. She teacher US History and US Government at a local second chance High School where she finds great pleasure helping teenagers who have lost their way find their dream.
Katherine is the current expert on the Midlands and the adventures of Gideon Biddle. She spends the majority of her time teaching, researching the Midlands, and avoiding the MRA (Middling Relations Agency).
She is an avid Young Adult Fiction Fan, Fantasy Fan, Historical Fiction Fan, and Science Fiction Fan. She spends most of her free time either reading, writing, or watching her secret passion, Reality TV- Survivor and Amazing Race.
Katherine is currently working on the sequel for "Gideon Biddle: Shadowwalk" entitled, "Gideon Biddle: Night Shadows." She hopes to have it out by December of 2008.
